Are you overwhelmed by the choices of protein supplements out there? Then when you find something that looks good, it has way too many carbs in it? Are you afraid it will taste bad but you really need to "get your protein in"? Well, I've done the taste testing for you and here's a guide for low-carb dieters and weight loss surgery post ops to the best tasting and most popular protein supplements available and where to get them.

Isopure RTD (ready-to-drink)
:clear liquid, comes in various flavors, no carbs, 40 grams of protein in 20 oz bottle. A lot of people can't drink this straight and mix it with water or crystal light, but I can and I love it! My favorite flavors are apple melon, fruit punch, and blue raspberry! I get them at my local GNC (it comes out cheaper for me because they have a discounted rate on everything because they are next door to the vitamin shoppe) but you can also order them online.

Micellar Milk RTD: this is FABOLOUS to make cafe lattes with! Mix with coffee (decaf because regular will dehydrate you and make you have frequent bathroom trips!), no need for creamer or splenda. You can also use this as a milk substitute with cereal, but I just like it with coffee (vanilla flavor). It has 40 grams of protein,220 calories, 12 carbs, 20 oz container, and doesn't need to be chilled. Perfect for travel! You can get these at your local GNC or online.

EAS carb control RTD: great for the on-the-go types also! contains 15 grams of protein, under 4 grams of carbs, 100 calories per container, comes in different flavors. I like the chocolate! Sold at places like Rite Aide and Walgreens or online.

Nectar by Syntrax: very light and comes in different flavors also. I like the fuzzy navel flavor and mix it with sunrise orange crystal light, tastes like tang. Only 90 calories per scoop and packed with 23 grams of protein!! Good for folks who can't handle shakes! I get this online.
