Often you may hear a young child or even an older person rambling on and on in seemingly endless chatter as you are listening ever so patiently, or perhaps not so patiently. Anyway, as you listen to the non-stop chatter you may be thinking when will this person ever hush. Even as you are thinking this, the non-stop chatter goes on and on and on.
Will it ever end?

Okay, so you are trying to think positively. What could possibly be positive about non-stop chatter? So your thinking, and thinking, as the chatter goes on and on.

And suddenly it dawns on you. You can start encouraging your chatterbox to write. And write some more. As your chatterbox writes, you can help them to find a way to publish their stories, and adventures, and everything else they have been telling you.

By doing this you are encouraging someone maybe even your own child to become a writer, which can produce income; Maybe a little maybe a lot depending on the quality of their writing. Also depending on where they are able to get their writing published.

Also if you ever want to remember what it was that your chatterbox said, all you have to do is go pick up their book off the shelf, or click on their article if they publish online.

You can help change a potential character flaw into a potential income producer. Making the next time you hear non-stop rambling from your child a time to direct their career path...

Takeaways
  • Non-stop chatter, an aggravation or time for career counselling.
  • Encouraging your chatterbox to become a writer/
  • Non-stop chatter, and rambling could these be potential income producers
Did You Know?
You can effect someone's future by an encouraging word.

good point, with sites like AC, if you have a lot to say you can make some money off rambling that's for sure. And if you're really talented at rambling you might make a ton of money!

Good point of view. I would have liked to see you expand on your "did you know?" statement too; "You can affect someone's future by an encouraging word"..good idea for another article, no? Thanks for the piece.

Well, there you have it. My secret is out. As an habitual babbler myself, writing was meant to stifle me. I'm older now - I can do both! Great article!

Nice article! I personally love it when children just babble on and on. Haha, but if making them quiet down means getting them to write, I'm all for it! It's amazing the things kids will put down on paper; I have a story pasted in my journal from teaching summer school from two of my second graders-- it's the funniest thing ever, because it's not really a story, but shows what happened when one student drew pictures and the other wanted to write something to go along with it! What fun!

I think that children should be encouraged to be creative especially thru writing. (I think that is the least destructive thing that a creative child can do, provided their writing is in a notebook)LOL My dd likes to write stories too.

Great article. I love it when my children chatter away. My oldest has already started writing her "stories" on paper. It's fun to watch their imagination flower.
