HP Photosmart M425v Digital Camera Review
Average Price, Exceptional Quality
Embed:
The Photosmart M425v digital camera is a nice camera at the price of one hundred and nineteen dollars from Walmart. The look and feel of the camera is nice and easy to become accustomed to. For a person that wants average quality and super easy use- this is the one to buy. It uses two AA size batteries, and can use a memory card. Without the memory card, the camera took only ten pictures, less when I used extra memory for the features. There is a section in the accompanying pamphlet about the various types of batteries and their abilities, in order to provide you with a better understanding of your new camera.
There is a preview screen on the back that is very well detailed in its image. This screen is also the menu screen. The menus are easy to navigate, as every choice has an accompanying explanation. There is also on the back a combination of buttons that are marked with arrows pointing up, down, side and side, and in the middle one marked OK.
Some built in features are red eye removal, zoom, shooting settings and frames. There is an auto setting that works well in most situations, which is great for those spontaneous photos. The frame selection is quite wide and comparative to those on some other popular photo editing software. It was strange for me to use the border software on the camera instead of the pc and on such a smaller screen. But I found out that I liked it better that way.
The only thing that I really didn't like about the camera is the size of the preview screen on back. Not that I have bad vision, but it would have been nice to use a larger screen. If the screen would have been much smaller, the border software would be useless.
The camera also records video and audio clips. This is very useful in situations that the data might be used in legal proceedings, or for hobby interests. The content could even be sold to Associated Content! I was really amazed at the quality of everything I caught on camera.
The first pictures taken were phenomenal. I didn't expect such depth and color for such an average price. And the software makes it so simple to transfer the images to my computer then to the printer.
