ShopVac Hangup Mini Review
I wanted to get a really silly Christmas present for myself, but it would help out my whole family. I wanted to vacuum up around my house without having to drag around my big upright vacuum or my large ShopVac that I purchased a year or so ago.
I wanted something very portable yet powerful enough to suck the paint off the walls, well not that much power but you know what I mean. I wanted a handheld or small vacuum that I could roam around the house and vacuum up all those dust bunnies and dog hair that I find on the stairs and in all those nooks and crannies of the house.
I didn't want to have to change the hose setup like on my upright vacuum every time I wanted to run the vacuum around the corners and stairs that I do once a week or more. So I wanted something I could pull out, plug in and start vacuuming the house and get rid of those dust bunnies and dog hair.
I found just what I wanted in the ShopVac Mini Hangup. This small but very powerful vacuum is great for carry and vac portability. But it does require a cord so you're limited to the length of whatever extension cord you use. I didn't want to spend the fifty dollars or more for a rechargeable unit that would fail me just when I needed it. I have been kind of let down by rechargeable devices over the past few years and am leery of getting things like a vacuum that is rechargeable.
The ShopVac Mini Hangup weighs about five pounds with the hose and a twenty foot extension cord attached. I bought the six foot cord model at Wal-Mart for $24 and think it is perfect for what I wanted. The vacuum comes with a six foot cord but a model with a longer cord is available. I only found the six foot cord model near my home but you can order it online or maybe find it somewhere near you. It was easy enough to just add a cord I had and you can buy a twenty foot cord really cheap, especially one of those green ones after Christmas usually used for Christmas lights.
