Everything about Eminence Organic Skincare sounds too good to be true. Or at least it sounds like it would be too expensive for the average consumer to indulge in. The line boasts all their ingredients are natural and, as the name suggests, organic. All water used in the products is hand-drawn from a water source in Hungary that is enriched with minerals found nowhere else on earth. All products are hand mixed, with no mass production, heating, or hydrogenating processes. They contain no artificial colors or fragrances. But can it be that all of this actually works? I have tested out some six or seven products from the line to report.

There were only a certain amount of products I could try, because of my age and skin type. I am a young woman who has struggled with acne since the age of ten, so I have learned many things about skincare, and what I can and cannot slather all over my face. The thought of fruit, mud and water seemed harmless enough, so I decided to take the plunge with some of the line that purported to deal with irritated, oily, and/or acne-prone skin.

The first product recommended to me was the Eucalyptus Cleansing Concentrate. The price was hefty, but I was lucky enough to have an inside spa connection, and I got my 4oz. bottle for free. The bottle looked rather small, as well, but as the title suggests, it is a concentrate and therefore meant to be diluted with water before applied to the face. As the title also suggests, it is meant to be a cleanser. According the the web-site, it is supposed to perfectly cleanse your skin, relieve tightness, and clear away dehydrated layers of skin. Now, perhaps I didn't dilute it enough, but in my experience, even with my oily skin, it actually only helped to further tighten and dry out my face. It smells good and sounds good, but in this case, it was a little too harsh for me.

Takeaways
  • Eminence is all organic.
  • The skincare line was first developed in Hungary.
  • The water they use is drawn from a thermal hot spring lake containing minerals and trace elements found nowhere else on earth.
