A basic homemade Valentine consists of a piece of neatly folded paper, either left in a rectangle, or cut into a square, and decorated. Kids and adults can decorate the front and the inside of these basic homemade Valentines.
To cut a heart that is even on both sides, fold a piece of paper in half and cut out half of a heart on the fold. A perfectly symmetrical heart will result. You can also continue to cut the heart into smaller hearts, which will make some heart "outlines" of the same paper, that can be use together on a basic homemade Valentine.
