The Day I Really Woke Up
Embed:
Life throws curves. Understated entirely. Life throws curves, sliders, fast balls, and even throws an arsenal of never before heard of pitches. Each time morning rolls around I awaken with a monotone, same as the day before, sense of being alive. Nothing ever really changes. I see myself in the mirror too often to notice a new wrinkle or an extra inch around my waist. I haven't met anyone new to see if I am still a likable person, or whether the "old" friends are just tolerating me because they know how I am. I simply exist in a vast sea of nods and waves that are as not stimulating today as they were the days preceding. This is how I once felt, until the day I really woke up.
