This simple Chocolate Easter Bunny candle votive is the perfect gift that you can make for the hostess who loves to decorate for the holidays. Almost anyone I know would love to get this whimsical Chocolate Easter Bunny candle votive. The bets thing is that once Easter is over you can take it off of your dinner table, pop the chocolate Easter bunnies off and eat them dipped in peanut butter!

Overall it should take about 30 minutes or less to make the whole project. The best part of this simple Chocolate Easter Bunny candle votive is that it uses empty glass food jars you might have leftover in the kitchen.

To Make This Simple Chocolate Easter Bunny Candle Votive For Easter You Will Need:

Empty Spaghetti or Pickle Jar (no lids)

Chocolate Easter Bunnies (lots of them)

Hot glue or tacky glue

Pastel Ribbon

Candle (Pillar Candle or tea candle)

Buy chocolate Easter bunnies that are wrapped din that decorate and colorful foil. That is where all the design and color will come into play. Chocolate Easter bunnies wrapped in packages or loose wrapping just will not look right.

Now, the first step is to thoroughly clean your glass food jar. I like to use an ammonia base cleaner to make sure I get all of the sticky food label off of the outside of the empty glass jar.

Now, plug in your hot glue gun.

Go ahead and lay out your Chocolate Easter Bunnies. I find that Easter bunnies that are flat on the back work best. Simply remove them form their packaging, while leaving them in their foil. Any size chocolate Easter bunny works fine, but I like to buy bunnies that are about ½ to 1/3 the height of my glass jar.

Now, Squeeze out some glue onto the back (bottom wide side) of the Chocolate Easter Bunnies. Press the Chocolate Easter Bunnies into the outside of the glass food jar. I like to start on the bottom edge of the glass jar and work my way around the entire jar gluing on the Chocolate Easter Bunnies.

Now, work around and around the glass jar. Work up attaching the Chocolate Easter Bunnies pieces until you get the bottom part of the glass jar covered. Leave the top few inches plain.

Takeaways
  • For a whimsical or contemporary look try using Chocolate Easter Bunnies in all one color foil wrapper.
  • Find a plaid vintage ribbon in those colors to match.
  • You can also use chocolate Easter egg candy with a flat back for this candle votive.
