The first Valentine's Day together is pretty difficult. For this Valentine's Day, why not go the extra mile for that new special someone. I did, and it got me a lot of points with the love of my life. First, don't just buy flowers and other cliché items. For this Valentine's Day, get her something she really wants. Try not to get anything she needs, either. What if she needs a toaster? Don't get it. That's a horrible Valentine's Day present. Get her something she wants. Don't even worry about chocolate. If she loves it, go for it. However, if she doesn't love it, don't worry about it. This Valentine's Day, how about get her some other kinds of junk food? Does she have a cereal she loves? That's pretty creative. Think outside the box.
I know flowers are cliché, but don't overlook them. Girls love flowers. A dozen roses or another bouquet of flowers are great Valentine's Day presents. However, be creative. Don't just give them to her. Get access to her room. Sneak in, and place one rose by her pillow, and the rest in a vase on a desk. The surprise will be even better if all her presents are in the room that morning.
Surprise her that night with a movie. Not just any movie. Take a deep breath, guys. Let her watch a chick flick. And yes, you have to watch it with her. This may be overlooked a lot, but it really means a lot to women to watch a movie that they want to watch instead of your favorites. This will be a Valentine's Day present that she won't forget, as long as you try to enjoy it. For an added surprise, actually buy her the movie and then watch it.
Some of the best presents you can give are simple ones. After our last Valentine's Day, I surprised her with a dance to our favorite song. This could not be bought, but it was one of the best presents she ever got, she says.
