What Do You Do when Your IPod Gets Waterlogged?

It can happen. One minute your iPod is in your hand, the next it falls into a puddle of liquid, hopefully nothing with sugar in it.

The iPod has become a byword to being "in sync" and "cool" to many people, mostly the young teens and the yuppies. iPods are still just electronic gadgets that you can carry in your pocket or purse. It's a wonderful little
gadget that's replaced CDs, CD players and bulky boom-boxes. It has he ability to hold 25,000 photos, 15,000 songs, or 150 video hours in a case that's smaller than a pack of cigarettes.

iPods allow you to hear and see your favorite music and videos via a 2.5" color screen. With all of it's wondrousness and salute to technology at its best, it is still only an electronic device. When it falls into water, it canquickly become a paper holder.

I cannot help but feel mystical whenever I see a mature person going around with an iPod. It is great! The iPod initially started as a high-end luxury item but nowadays, that no longer applies anymore because of the wide range of models available in the market.

The MacIntosh iPod is small and handy, yet it can store over 15,000 tunes, 25,000 photos, and 150 hours of video. It has become invaluable to many because of what data it can hold. Unfortunately, accidents can happen at any given time.

You probably use your iPod wherever you go: bedroom, bathroom, office, en route to places, parties, the list is endless. It is just another statistic waiting to happen — your iPod getting waterlogged.

When this happens, immediately remove your iPod from the water and shut it down. This is to protect you from getting a bolt of electricity running through you. Try drying your unit as much as possible. Wrap it up and put it somewhere warm to dry. It would be advisable to wait at least 48 hours before trying to turn it on again.

The first question is whether it will still work properly. If not, then the next questions would be if it can be repaired and where can you bring it for repairing. In most cases, the answer to the first question is yes, the iPod can be repaired. It will only be a matter of replacing damaged parts.
