All About the BMW 3 Series - BMW 325i

The BMW 3 series is a newer model of older series BMW cars and has a more powerful engine, a new sleeker look, more room in the cabin, and other added features. The BMW 3 series still has the high performance and luxury that BMW is known for. The BMW 3 series is a bit larger that the older series as the wheelbase grew 1.4 inches, was widened 3 inches, length stretched 2.2 inches, and the cabin has 1.3 cubic feet more room. The 3 series is an improvement to one of the best selling cars BMW has ever had in the series 3 2002 model.

One of the better upgrades on the new 3251 is the way it handles. The 325i allows for great handling while not sacrificing comfort on the road as it is a smooth ride and handles well. The 325i features a brand new 5-link rear suspension, which makes for a smooth ride. The handling abilities are also improved with the 3 series' double pivot front suspension as well as a more rigid body and chassis. The body of the 325i is primarily made up of aluminum components, which lessens the weight of the car's upswing.

The steering on the 325i is accurate as it gives great feedback from the road. For the first time BMW is offering its Active Steering in which the ratio of the steering changes on the speed of the car and input of the steering. The new 3.0 liter 6 cylinder engine has 215 hp @ 6250 rpm and 185 lb-ft. of torque @ 2,750. The 325i also has good acceleration of 0-60 mph in 6.1 sec. The engine block is made from a composite of aluminum and magnesium, which reduces the weight of the car. The engine also features a Velvetronic variable valve lift, which has been featured on the other cars in the BMW line such as the V8's and V12's. The 3 series is the first car series in BMW's lines to use the Velvetronic in a 6 cylinder. This gives the car more quickness and power, better gas mileage, and a wider torque curve.

The Interior of the 325i sedan is designed for long-distance comfort. There are many high tech features on the new 3 series such as Satellite radio. One of the newer features of the 325i, and the entire 3 series, is the fact that there is more room in the cabin as well as in the trunk.
