More and more people are becoming addicted to foods. Whether due to boredom, habit, or because the foods contain chemicals that make us feel good. There are many ways we can become addicted to food. There truly is legitimate reasons that people have become addicted to certain foods.Certain foods such as chocolate, cheese, meats, and salty foods have been linked to release chemicals that will trigger our brain's feel good responses. The more you eat these foods the more your brain wants to keep the feel good responses going. In order to break the cycle you will need to eat other foods that will combat these hunger pangs and cravings. Sometimes just a change in routine can change your eating habits.
Many food cravings come about when you are doing certain tasks. For instance, watching TV and using your computer. By changing the times when you do these activities you can control your cravings. Try to watch TV or use your computer at different times of the day and after you have eaten some rice and vegetables. Rice has been shown to stabilize insulin which can control those blood sugar levels which can make you want to reach for some high calorie foods.
Breakfast is the number one most important meal of the day. Experts weren't kidding when they would tell you that your breakfast can make your day. A good way to control your appetite and food cravings is to eat a breakfast high in fiber. A high fiber breakfast makes you feel full most of the day. Add a piece of fruit into your high fiber breakfast and you've got a good combination of sugar and fiber. Enough to keep your energy level going and feeling full so you won't be tempted to reach for those other high calorie items.
You still need to consume a certain amount of calories in a day. If you cut out all the fat, your body's metabolism actually gets even slower than if you were to consume some fat in your diet. So the general rule is to figure out what weight you want to be, and multiply that by 10. This is the least amount of calories you should consume in a day. If you stick to this formula, you should lose weight without fighting those angry hunger pangs and cravings.
