People spend hundreds of dollars at a spa for the benefits of a body wrap. Body wraps remove toxins from the body and can aid in weight loss. But you don't have to spend a fortune to get these benefits. By doing your own body wraps at home you can save hundreds of dollars.

Basic Instructions for all body wraps:

Warm the room so that you will be comfortable.

Two plastic drop sheets. One to place your bucket on and one to lay on.

Loofah your body to rid yourself of dry skin.

Take a warm shower to open your pores up.

Drink lots of water before, during and after to flush toxins from your body.

Use towels or linens for your wraps.

Herbal Body Wrap:

Boil 8 cups of water

2 cups of clay based on your skin type. Bentonite for oily skin, Pink Kaolin for sensitive or dry skin, Yellow Kaolin for normal skin

1 cup Epsom salt

1 cup of powdered herbs. Some choices are; Lavender,Ginger or Chamomile.

Mix these ingredients together and add to the boiling water. Allow mixture to sit for 10-15 minutes. Dip your towel or linen in one at a time and wrap your body starting at the ankles and work your way up to the neck. Enjoy your wrap for the next 60 minutes.

Mousse Foot Wrap and Body Wrap:

1/2 cup sweet almond oil

1/4 cup grated cocoa butter

2 tbsp. emulsifying wax

3/4 cup distilled water

1 tsp. calendula petals

1 tsp. marshmallow root

5 drops ylang-ylang essential oil

5 drops peppermint essential oil

5 drops eucalyptus essential oil

10 drops lavender essential oil

Combine wax, oil and butter and melt over low heat in a double boiler, stirring occasionally. Heat water to just before boiling and pour over herbs in a glass bowl. Let sit for 15 minutes, strain and squeeze all water out of the herbs. Let both mixtures cool to a warm feeling. Pour oil mixture into the water mixture while blending. Blend until smooth. Stir in essential oils now. Dip your towels or linens into mixture and begin wrapping from the feet up the body to the neck. If doing just the feet then wrap until just past the ankles. If doing the whole body then lay down on your drop sheet and enjoy for an hour. If only doing your feet then get comfortable and enjoy.
