AC Portal on Facebook - Getting Started
Associated Content's new Facebook application, the Associated Content Portal, is an excellent way for Content Producers who use Facebook to promote their content within the world's most popular social network.
If you're already on Facebook, you can add the AC Portal by following this link: http://apps.facebook.com/ac_portal
Once you've installed the application, follow these steps to get started:
1) Log in with the same email address / password you use to sign onto AC. Note that logging in here logs you into our website as well (and vice versa).
2) Create a profile widget by clicking the "Update Widget" button on the application's Share tab. We recommend you choose the first option, which allows you to populate the widget with your own content and link directly to your AC profile. Add up to 6 pieces of content and then click "Save Widget."
3) Add the widget you created to your profile. Click "Applications" in the bottom left corner of the screen, and then select the "Edit" option at the top. Find the Associated Content Portal application, then click the "Edit" graphic next to it. Select the "Profile" tab, click the "add" link and then select "Okay" to save the changes.
4) Move the widget from your Boxes page to your Wall for optimal visibility. From your profile, click the "Boxes" tab. Find the AC Portal application, click the pencil graphic in the upper right and then select the option to "Move to Wall tab." From now on, your widget will display in the lower left corner of the main page of your profile!
5) Add the app to your Applications dock at the bottom of your Facebook window. Click "Applications" in the bottom left corner of the screen, find AC Portal, and then click and drag it to the top of the list. This will create a permanent link to the AC Portal at the bottom of your Facebook window so you can easily access it each time you log in.
