Life is a hustle,
An every day bustle,
Rifled with pain and strife...

You work, You slave,
You scrimp, You save,
With many a dream in mind...

The year's sail by,
Those gray hair's do fly,
But never closer do you get...

And then one day,
When time is uncertain,
You take a last look back,
Before a final drawing of the curtain...

You wonder what might have been,
Life didn't get here in a day,
So what's for the future,
Is much harder to say...

So when your time is near,
Do not grumble, Do not stress,
Put on your smiling face,
And accept God's Bless.

I'd like to think so Amanda. He was my adopted dad and very special in shaping who I am today. Thank you for all your wonderful comments. I appreciate them all.

He would have been proud of you.

Thank You, I wrote this when my Dad died and I was care-giving for a lady with Alzheimer's. I wasn't able to attend because it was so sudden and the family I was helping out couldn't or wouldn't let me leave. I wanted something to remember Dad by.
