My publishing consultant Joseph Potts once said, "Most of the worlds stress and problems is due to one thing...PEOPLE RELATIONS. If it weren't for that, then we'd all be much happier as a people, all of us."

A person's identity does not revolve around a culture! An individual's personality is the thing which should be given the most importance to. There is a man who lives in my lane in Bangkok, Thailand. Ever since I came here sixteen years ago, I have seen him walking around from morning until night, dazed and lost. What's his identity? Why doesn't he say anything? What's on his mind? Did something happen to him in his past? Where does he belong? Is he any different from you and me? Does the fact that he always looks blank make him different from us? These are some of the questions that come to mind, and people like this man in my lane are virtually singled out. In my point of view, no matter what, the ultimate answer is that we are all the same and should be treated in the same manner.

Joseph Potts, my publishing consultant is from Philadelphia (He is a pure American). My ethnicity is Indian, but I am an American citizen. We are of different ethnicities, but still share the same ideas and views, and agree upon things, but according to the society we supposedly 'belong' to different countries right? That word 'belong' is so strong that it can give you a punch in the face when someone simply says 'I belong here, but you don't!'

I do not believe in all of this! My better half 'belongs' to Pakistan. I 'belong' to India. There have always been disputes between India and Pakistan, but we overlook that and love each other! You ask why? Because the race, color and nationality is not important at all! What's important is that we're both good people who understand common morals and values and respect them as well as everyone around us with resilience.

Takeaways
  • A person's identity does not revolve around a culture!
  • Why continue to discriminate when it creates unrest for everyone!
  • We belong in the countries where our help is most needed.
Did You Know?
We were all born under the same sky and are all people of the same world!
