Edible Thanksgiving Place Cards for the Kids Table

Elegant Monogram Graham Crackers

It only takes three ingredients to make these elegant and edible Thanksgiving place cards for kids.

Ingredients:

One chocolate covered Graham cracker cookie per guest

Tube of vanilla (off-white) decorating frosting

One small strand of red shoestring licorice

How to Make:

With a gentle touch and a precise hand, poke a hole in the graham cracker about a half an inch from the top, if the cracker is vertical. Place it on a clean cutting board not used to cut raw meat. Make a wide enough hole for a strand of shoestring licorice to fit. Start by making a tiny hole using a sharp skewer or the end of a knife. Once the end of the skewer or the knife tip has penetrated the cracker slowly rotate it in a circle to make a hole.

Thread a piece of shoestring licorice through the hole.

For each guest, write the first letter of their name as fancy as you can on the chocolate covered graham cracker.

Ingredients:

One box cake mix

One container vanilla frosting

Black food coloring (or red and green)

Crushed Oreo cookies or chocolate wafer cookies

One plate for each guest

Toothpick

Small triangle-shaped piece of paper

Some imagination

How to Make:

Make a batch of cupcakes, in any flavor. Let the cupcakes cool completely. Scoop the frosting into a bowl. Add a drop of black food coloring, or add equal amounts of red and green food coloring. Start with only a couple of drops. The goal is to create a frosting which looks like rock, so it can be light brown colored or grayish. The final color may be affected by the color of the original frosting.
