Best Valentine's Day Ever

It was nearing the end of January, I had split up with my girlfriend of a year just after Christmas, and Valentine's Day was fast approaching. It was feeling like a set up for a very lame Valentine's Day, you know the kind, you hear about them but never want to experience yourself, well the impending doom was setting in. So I came to a choice: wallow in self-pity or get out there and make it a worthwhile holiday regardless of the recent events that had me thinking the worst.

So I immediatly got on the phone and started calling all the female friends I could and started asking them what their plans were, like " is someone taking you out?" or " do you have plans for Valentine's Day yet?" to test the waters and see what the general vine was. After about an hour of this I came to a minor conclusion: I'm not the only one going through times like this. WOW!! what a revelation. I then started formulating a plan for a great way for me and my female friends to spend Valentine's Day. I got back on the phone and called the people that were going solo and got the concensus on how they felt about us all getting together to kick the "I'm all alone for Valentine's Day blues" it was a unanimous decision and more than a few of them asked why I hadn't thought of this sooner, as if this was some secret I had been hiding. I thought of various ways I could share my love with these women like cooknig for them, us all going to San Francisco for the day, a private party with alot of ballons, flowers and candies and then I thought to myself " Why not all of that?" So the choice wsa made and I started the preperations for that day right then and there.
