Product Review: Technics RPDH1200 Headphones
The Technics RPDH1200 headphones are a perfect product for any serious music lover. Whether you are a dj or just like to listen to music through a pair of comfortable headphones, the Technics RPDH1200 headphones are a great purchase. The padded, closed-ear
design combines comfort with functionality, allowing you to be able to hear music with clarity. Folding swing arm cups make these headphones easy to use for djing and one side monitoring. The neck band on the headphones is also padded, adding to the already comfortable feel. The plug going out of the headphones is detachable at the ear piece, so if the cord gets damaged and needs to be replaced, you just order a new cord, no need to be a completely new set of headphones. The stereo plug is plated in 24k gold to insure a perfect connection and long-lasting durability.
I have owned a pair of Technics RPDH1200 headphones for a year and a half. I use them for djing (outside and inside) and they are the most durable pair of headphones I have ever used. While I tend to take good care of mine, I have friends who have dropped or stepped on their headphones, as well as dropped many objects on them and they still work perfectly. Listening quality is also superb on these headphones. These headphones amplify bass notes (i.e.-the kick drum in a track), which makes them perfect for getting precise beat matches. The bass boost makes them less than ideal for production as they do not represent the true sound of the track, so I would not recommend using them for this application.
As far as recognizable gear, these headphones are seen as some of the best and most durable headphones in the djing industry. Although each dj has their own preference, I have heard many times that these are a favorite of many. The Technics RPDH1200 headphones are also reasonably priced. If you shop around online, it would be reasonable to assume they can be found in the lower $100 price range.
