Let Their Imagination Run Wild
With the economy in the pits, and budgets tighter than a drum, chances are you're hoping to spend a little less this Christmas. The following is a shopping guide for the newest, coolest preschoolInexpensive Preschool Stocking Stuffers: Movies
Your preschooler is able to sit for longer periods and is starting to understand humor and movie plots. Not only are the movies listed here new releases for the 2008 Christmas Season, they are also great inexpensive preschool stocking stuffers!
Kung Fu Panda $15.99 at Target
This is an entertaining flick about an overweight panda named Po who is stuck in a mediocre job until, by chance, he is chosen to become a dragon warrior. The laughs ensue during scenes of Po's training and throughout the entire movie. All-star actors such as Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, and Jackie Chan make this awesome and inexpensive preschool stocking stuffer enjoyable for kids...and adults too!
Wall-E $16.99 at Target
The endearing futuristic story of a robot named Wall-E whose job is to clean up the mess that humans have made on earth. There is very little dialogue compared to most other movies ("Wall-e" and "Eve" being the words spoken the most). The reviews on this movie are mixed. While some feel that it is boring and slow moving (myself included), others felt that it was a fantastic flick. Regardless, preschoolers seemed to enjoy Wall-E.
Horton Hears a Who! $16.99 at Target
Another new release for the 2008 Christmas Season, Horton Hears a Who! is derived from the popular children's book by Dr. Seuss. Horton is a loveable elephant who unearths a small village of Whos living within a tiny speck. This enjoyable and inexpensive preschool stocking stuffer has a wonderful message and is bright and colorful, which your preschooler is sure to enjoy. In addition, with voice talents from the ever hilarious Jim Carrey, Steve Carrell, Carol Burnett, among many others, adults will get a kick out of Horton too.

LOL, did you know that's why they named themselves that? If I'm remembering the story correctly, they weren't getting anyone to come to their shows, so they changed their name to Barenaked Ladies, so they could put up on signs, "Barenaked Ladies here tonight!" Apparently, their sly marketing ploy worked...

I remember my nephew, as a young child being very disappointed by the Bare Naked Ladies on TV. He thought they really would be bare naked ladies...
