Stop PMS Symptoms Before They Start

At least 40 - 50% of women during their monthly cycle have PMS symptoms. I want to share some tips on what these symptoms are and how to fight them.Anxiety is a big part of PMS. If you drink a lot of caffeine, get rid of it. Switch to decaf. Caffeine makes your heart rate raise and can add to your anxiety. If you drink pop, switch to caffeine-free pop. Lots of sugar will also make your heart race. So, yes, as much as you crave the chocolate, you have to get rid of it!
The next is bloating. Everyone that goes through that knows how awful it can feel. Your pants are too tight and leave a mark on you because your stomach is bigger. Limit all of the salty foods and drink lots of water. Water keeps you hydrated and keeps your energy up.
Then, there's the awful cramping. Eat foods with magnesium. Magnesium will help with muscle contraction and relaxation. Spinach and lima beans have a lot of magnesium. They don't sound very good but it's better than cramping.
Calcium helps with your appetite. The more calcium you have, the less you will want chocolate and sugary foods. So, eat some more cheese and yogurt. Drink more milk. Tofu is an excellent non-dairy product to have with calcium in it.
Fish is a good food to help with breast tenderness. Omega-3 fatty acids help with levels of inflammation and to ease swelling.
We have all been there and most are still there. PMS symptoms can get serious sometimes and interrupt your whole life. Moodiness is one of the biggest parts of the monthly cycle. If you are moody, everyone sees it and sometimes it can hurt a lot of people. If you drink alcohol, stop. Alcohol causes depression, which will only add to the mood swings.
These are just some small tips to help you with that monthly cycle you go through. People have enough problems in their life, this will at least decrease this one problem.
