Non-Religious Christmas Card Messages

A Few Ideas for Thoughtful Card Messages

The right Christmas card can be a present all itself. What makes it "right"? Here's a hint: it has little or nothing to do with the actual card, but everything to do with what's inside. Christmas Card Messages really make the difference.

Some of the first cards I ever started saving were right after I first left home. Anything written from my family helped chase away the homesickness. But it was just the other day that I really noticed how much the message can affect a person. My daughter received a belated birthday
present from her great-grandmother; when she opened the box, she carefully set the wrapped present aside and opened the card. She read every single line in that card, showed it to me, and said, "I love keeping Gramma's cards. She always writes nice things to me."

What I came to find out was that there is a whole pile of birthday, Christmas, and Valentine's day cards from that one person in my daughter's bookshelf. The only difference between those cards and any of the others she's received is that Gramma writes inside them words that are touching and meaningful to my daughter.

So whether you've spent hours finding the right gift or are eagerly opening up a special box of Christmas cards, all the thought you've put into things can make it really hard to find the right words. Here's some help.

A Few Verses to Borrow

Sometimes you want to say something meaningful but just don't have the time to find your own words. No biggie. Here's several Christmas Card Messages that you can borrow and send to anyone you like - and because they make no mention of religion, they're easy to adapt to the recipient.

1. May this holiday season bring you the music of laughter, the warmth of friendship, and the steadying hand of love.

2. Our Christmas wish for you: that this season holds for you the hope, wonder, and amazement around every turn that you felt as a child.

3. Withing you all the joys of the holiday season: the warmth of home, the love of family, and the laughter of good friends.

4. The Christmas season waves a magic wand over this world, and behold ... everything becomes softer and more beautiful.
