Modern-Day Fairy Tale: Princess and the Frog

This is a fairy tale version that should have been told to us ladies long, long ago! (smiles)

The Princess and the Frog

----------------------------------------------------------

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away,

A beautiful, self-assured, independent princess happened to come upon a toad frog as she sat alongside an unpolluted stream in a lush and green meadow nearby her castle, contemplating the latest ecological
 issues.

The toad frog hopped into the princess' lap and spoke, saying:

"My Lady, I used to be a handsome prince. An evil witch, who was jealous of my riches, cast a horrible spell upon me. But with one kiss from you, my dear, I will return me to the young, dapper prince that I am."

"And then, my elegant lady," he continued, "we can get married, set up house inside your castle with your parents, where you can enjoy preparing meals for me, cleaning my clothes, bearing my children, and forever feel happy and grateful doing so."

Later that evening, as the beautiful princess dined upon lightly sauteed, sumptuous frog legs, seasoned with white wine and a creamy onion sauce, she giggled and thought to herself:

"I don't freakin' think so!"
