Edible Jelly Bean Necklace Kids Can Make
Easter Easter Craft Project
I love making fun and funky jewelry. This simple Easter jellybean necklace is perfect for a group of girls to make at a school class party or even a birthday party. The jellybeans can be left in their natural edible colors or even painted to suit your fancy. This simple EasterYou can make an edible Easter jellybean necklace craft project in less than 2 hours. Be sure to allot for drying time for the jellybeans if you decide to paint them. So, if you are doing this at a slumber party then have the kids start painting the jellybeans the night before. They can dry overnight and the kids can put their necklaces together after breakfast.
Now, to make an Easter Jellybean necklace you will need:
Jellybeans
Paint (optional)
Metal tapestry needles
Twine
Jewelry clasps (optional)
Scissors
Now, the first thing your need to do is find your jellybeans. Try buying them at Sam's Club or in bulk if you are doing this simple Easter craft project with a large group or a class.
Ok, so if you are making this with a group of kids I recommend going ahead and placing a bowl of jellybeans nearby for each child. They can keep the jellybeans near them so they don't have to reach for more.
Have each child take their tapestry needle and press it through the side of the jellybeans. You can press through the long ways or short ways. You can also mix and match them!
Try buying your jellybeans in a variety of sizes to create fun and unique necklaces. You can buy jumbo, miniature, and ruler sized jellybeans.
.
Now, use your wooden skewer to make the hole through the center of the jellybean if smaller children are making this Easter craft project. You may need to help smaller children with this step of the craft project. Help them to press a hole through the shape starting on one side and coming out the other.
Continue this hole making process until all of the jellybeans are ready.
