Best Spots for a Romantic Dinner in New Bedford, Massachusetts

New Bedford, Massachusetts isn't a large city, nor is it a romantic one. There are an enormous amount of Ma and Pa diners, and a couple of chain resturants, but very little that you could have an actual romantic dinner in. In fact, most resturants are in the surrounding cities, such as Dartmouth and Fairhaven. These towns have great resturants, so don't think that you should limit yourself. However, if you met in New Bedford, live in New Bedford, and want to celebrate your love in New Bedford, here's a few places you can go.

Rosie's: Rosie's is a New Orleans style resturant, which is the only resturant I've ever gone to in New Bedford with a suit and tie. It has great cajun style foods, as well as classic favorites like scrod, lobster, crab, steak, and shrimp. There is an excellent wine list, and even more excellent dessert menu. If there's a resturant you want to go to, it's this one. It even has live entertainment some nights, which is a rarity in New Bedford.

The Airport Grille: The Airport Grille is exactly that, a resturant inside of the local airport. I've never been, but I know many couples that dress up every Friday night just to go there. I happen to know that their steak is excellent from some leftovers, but I, like most people from New Bedford, have never been there, so I wouldn't say to expect too much. However, if you want to try some place new, and some place fancy, then The Airport Grille might just be to your liking.

Fort Taber: You aren't allowed at Fort Taber at night. Some spots are very spooky, and it's certainly an eerie place. However, the beach is beautiful, and there's a playground. Have a picnic on the beach, and go to the park. Like in a movie, your girl will gravitate toward the playground, and sit on the swings. What could be more romantic?
