Maddox, the angry writer of "thebestpageintheuniverse.net" starts his book writing career off with a bang. And headbutts political correctness in the ovaries with this bad boy of a book. The Alphabet of Manliness has got to be the most hilarious thing I've read in a long time, and the worst part is that it's all true, but in the age of "Watch what you say", no one would admit it until now. Except for Maddox.

Maddox is notorious around the internet for his website "thebestpageintheuniverse.net", in which he pretty much tears anyone and everyone a new asshole. From children, to parents, to people who don't eat meat, to Cameron Diaz, and people who say "I'm Rick James bitch!". And in this book, he gives an alphabetical list of all things manly, from "Asskicking" to "Taking a Dump", this is the most hilarious piece of satire about what is considered manly. This is like reading a diary of a men's locker room.

He starts off by dedicating the book to his one true love, "himself". Then does a step-by-step guide on how to "Kick someone's ass". This list includes the "Crescent Method", and "Steath Punch". Though he truly shines in the middle of his book when he talks about "Beef Jerky", "Road Rage", "Femal Wrestling", and "Enlightenment". This book just wreeks of sharp sarcasm, and is so in your face that you feel like Maddox is doing stand up comedy, and is running around the stage having a heart attack as he yells all of this incohearantly. I mean you can literally picture Maddox with a huge vein in his face as he writes this.

But this is NOT for everyone. If you're not a fan of politically correct humor, don't buy this book. Because you will be offended by the blatent attack on femenism, fat women, and the story of Adam and Eve. I read a few quotes from this book, and was nearly fired from work, but my boss had trouble yelling at me because he was laughing so hard. But all and all, this book is worth the $15.95 that I paid for it, and I've read it 4 times in the month that I've had it. It's an easy read, but it's a hilarious read. Please, for the love of men, pick this book up!

Takeaways
  • "A is for Asskicking"
  • "D is for Taking a Dump"
  • "R is for Road Rage"
