Why I Love My 2001 Mazda Tribute
I drive a 2001 Mazda Tribute. It is white with a silver bottom. The back four windows are tinted and the back glass is tinted. It is also a 4wd. This was the first utility vehicle I have ever had. When I first thought about test driving it, I was scared of it. I
was scared of it because it was so much bigger than what I was use to driving. I had always drove cars low to the ground. I drove Talons for a while, so they were real cozy and low to the ground. After getting in the Mazda and test driving it, I was in love with it. This is why I love my Mazda Tribute.
Gas Mileage
For a small utility vehicle, it gets great gas mileage. Around town it will get about 20 miles to the gallon. Driving a long distance, it will get about 24 miles to the gallon. It is drove 90 miles every day to work, so the gas mileage is pretty good. I didn't think so back when gas was $5 a gallon but now it only takes $19 to fill my truck up.
Space / Room Inside
When I first bought my Mazda Tribute, I felt like I was in a stretched limousine. Coming from a Talon, that was a big change. The Mazda Tribute has a lot of room. On the front dash there is a glove compartment and three compartments under the radio. The driver door and the passenger door both have compartments to store stuff. In the middle of the front two seats is a big compartment for storing stuff. In the top of the roof is also another compartment where you can store stuff. It is actually made for a garage door remote, because you can push up on the compartment to trigger the remote. Since I don't have a garage remote, I use it for my insurance card and registration card.
You have plenty of room to move around. The front seats recline back and so do the backseats. You can also pull the bottom part of the back seats and the top part will lay down. This is great for when you need to hall something. It's like taking the back seats out.
