Would Your Potential or Current Partner Be Supportive of You Through a Medical Crisis Later?
It Seems that During Times of Medical Crisis, Many People's Partners Behave Unempathetically, Unsupportively, Neglectfully or Apathetically. This Kind of Abusive Dysfunction Often Brings a Couple's Relationship to a Dramatic End
Being close to the onset of my 40s, I've witnessed many unfortunate medical and health crises that cause a great deal of dysfunction between couples. It seems that during times of medical crisis, many people's partners behave unempathetically, unsupportively, neglectfully orBefore I married in my mid 20s, I never considered the various medical crises and how they might later impact my marriage. Things like Prostatitis/Cancer, Breast Cancer, Epilepsy, Fibroids, various forms of Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Leukemia, or any other illnesses, injuries or diseases never once crossed my naïve and youthful mind. But they are in fact harsh realities that many people eventually must endure.
So as you're discerning your compatibility with a potential partner, do you ever ask yourself questions like; if I were later diagnosed with a serious medical ailment or injury, would this person lovingly support me through my time of crisis? Out of fairness, do you ever ask yourself if you'd be lovingly supportive of them in the same regard?
I've seen some people respond to this kind of question by asking; why are you worried about something that hasn't happened yet? Other people might simply suggest; you worry too much! In my opinion, anyone who'd actually behave with these kinds of diversion tactics is rather suspect to say the least!
Don't you think that this is something worth considering as you're discerning your long-term compatibility with a potential partner?
Wishing everyone a beautiful day!
