Reaching the Great Divide

Who is Scott?:
Born as Anthony Scott Flippen, changed to Scott Alan Stapp. Scott adopted his step-Dad's last name. He was born in Orlando, Florida on August 8, 1973. Growing up with four sisters in a very strict religious home, Scott would often be punished by copying the Bible.

What is Creed?:
The band came together with Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips and Brian Marshall, in 1995, to form Naked Toddler. This name was later changed to Creed, by Brian Marshall. The band brought us many favorites such as Human Clay featuring With Arms Wide Opened. That song was written when Scott found out that he was going to be a Daddy for the first time. Jim Morrison is one of Scott's influences. After ten years, Creed split leaving Scott solo.

The Great Divide:
Remarried and living in Miami, Florida, Scott is expecting his second child with new wife, Jaclyn (who was Ms. New York in 2004). They are expecting a baby girl. The Great Divide was released in 2005, making this Scott's first solo album. Scott also contributed to The Passion of the Christ. I am sure that this will not be the last of Scott, so stay tuned. One of my favorite songs are Relearn Love.
