After a busy week at work, you and your significant other are in need of a romantic weekend getaway. Imagine a backdrop provided by the Cascade Mountains on one side and Puget Sound on the other and you have a romantic weekend set. The Seattle area provides some great places for a romantic getaway. Here are the top two places near Seattle for romantic weekend escapes.

Salish Lodge & Spa

The Salish Lodge & Spa offers the perfect romantic escape in Snoqualmie Falls, WA. The rushing Snoqualmie Falls and the flourishing Northwest forest provides the ideal setting for a romantic getaway. Once you step inside this luxurious resort, you become lost in the beauty of the nature that surrounds the resort and will want to stay for the lavishness of this comfortable yet classy lodge and spa. Best of all, this resort is only 30 minutes east of downtown Seattle.

At the Salish Lodge & Spa, the staff works hard to add a personal touch for each guest. If you want newly picked flowers or a chilled bottle of wine or champagne in your room awaiting your arrival, the staff will work hard to fulfill your request. Small touches will make your stay much more memorable and personal.

Each room at the Salish Lodge & Spa offers a romantic environment for each couple. Every room is equipped with a two person, over-sized whirlpool tub and a wood-burning fireplace. There are large featherbeds, made complete with goose down comforters and 16 types of pillows to choose from, that will make you want to never get out of bed.

There are different packages available to accommodate each guest's wants and needs. The newest package is the Salish Signature package. This package combines the most requested services into one. The Salish Signature package comes with a two night stay in one of the historic guest rooms, four 50-minute spa treatments, two breakfast entrees in the main Dining Room, and a welcome bag filled with fruits, cheese, water, and Seattle's gourmet truffles.

I haven't been to the Willows Lodge, but Woodinville is great. Love the scenery along the bike trail there, and hiking along the pipe line is nice too. Lots of pretty foliage in the fall.

Great article. I'm allergic to feathers so the featherbed is out, but everywhere else sounds great. Thank you.
