An Inexpensive Thoughtful Christmas Gift for a Teacher

Your child's teacher works hard all year to educate not only your child, but a classroom full of children. Every teacher deserves a nice Christmas gift. Teach children to be grateful by giving a Christmas gift to their teacher this and every Christmas.

Teacher Christmas Gift #1 - A teacher earns more than an apple as a Christmas gift. Give a beautiful fruit and nut basket from King Soopers or your local supermarket, to symbolize the extra effort put forth to educate so many children. The cost is less than
 $20.00.

Teacher Christmas Gift #2 - A teacher goes through a lot of pens and pencils. Walmart has great deals on these every year in the fall. Pick them up for less than $10.00. Wrap up a pack of each as a thoughtful reimbursement. Don't forget the red pens.

Teacher Christmas Gift #3 - Make a gift of a nice set of teacher themed rubber stamps found at Hobby Lobby or another craft store for $4.00 and up. Look for those that say, good job, nice work, see me, or please sign and return.

Teacher Christmas Gift #4 - Desk accessories from Office Depot make a nice gift. Most are $20.00 or less. Fill them up with things like paper clips, rubber bands, or anything else useful to a teacher.

Teacher Christmas Gift #5 - Buy a cute teacher themed coffee mug from Hallmark for less than $10.00 and fill it with yummy Christmas candy for sharing with students.

Teacher Christmas Gift #6 - Give a night of movie fun. A bag of microwave popcorn, a box of movie candy, and a gift certificate for a movie rental can all be found at Blockbusters. This gift costs around $10.00.

Teacher Christmas Gift #7 - Everyone loves to receive a bottle of their favorite perfume or cologne. Have your sneaky kid find out what it is by giving a compliment about the scent. Walmart has some popular brands for under $20.00

Teacher Christmas Gift #8 - A teacher goes home with tired feet every night. Buy them a pair of soft cozy slippers from K-Mart to relax in at the end of the day. Cost is $9.99 and up.

Teacher Christmas Gift #9 - Teaching is stressful. How about a nice massage pillow to ease the pain of that aching neck? These are everywhere at Christmas time, but Walmart usually has them for around $19.99.

I'm glad you wrote this. I must do some thinking. My son is in an alternative school and this would be an option this year. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I never went to that sort of school...to show any kind of friendliness toward a teacher would earn you a hard time in the playground...I hope things have changed for the better in the last 40 years...
