There was a time when submitting your website to the Search Engines was enough to draw visitors to your site. Those days are over and gone. With over 1,000 new websites being submitted to the search engines EVERY HOUR additional web-promotion strategies are necessary. Of course, search engine submittal remains a basic promotional method. But, submittal must be combined with other very effective promotion and advertising techniques. Listed below are 5 time-tested E-Marketing techniques.

E-mail advertising is a very effective marketing method. This is often called Opt-In Advertising because the addressees have SUBSCRIBED or REQUESTED to receive such informational e-mails. Exchanging links with other websites, cross-linking, increases your website exposure. The more websites your website is linked to, the more the potential of additional visitors.

FREE listings on major Search Engines tend to get your site listed but buried among the thousands of other sites. Paying for Search Engine Placement may not always be cost-effective. Still, Search Engine Placement is a valid E-Marketing technique.
4. E-Newsletter Advertising
E-Newsletters have grown in popularity over hard-copy newsletters because of their immediacy and low cost of production. Such E-Newsletters are targeted to a demographic readership and market. The cost is low and the REACH is large.
