Given that it's the same manufacturer of what is arguably the most popular touring motorcycle in the world, it's a given that some of the expertise would have made it's way to the cruiser department at good oldThe touring package of the Honda VTX1300T is one of the best equipment packages in the business right now. It includes in addition to the standard VTX1300 equipment an adjustable windshield, passenger backrest, and leather saddlebags to keep all your gear stowed away safe and sound. The Honda VTX1300T is powered by Honda's middle size engine of the moment, a 1312cc liquid cooled V-twin with a 9.2:1 compression ratio, three valves per cylinder, and a single overhead camshaft engine design. The drivetrain design is standard five speed transmission backed by a shaft final drive for low maintenance and decent power delivery. For those of you who swear by chain or belt drive, however, you've probably never had your fingers caught in one. Those who have swear by the perfection of the enclosed shaft drive. Out front of the Honda VTX1300T, you'll find a 41mm fork with 5.1 inches of travel, and dual rear shocks which feature a five position spring preload adjustability, and just short of four inches of travel, plenty to soak up all the potholes that your local road maintenance department just can't seem to get fixed quite right. Braking duties on the Honda VTX1300T are handled by a single 336mm disc twin-piston caliper out front, with a 296mm disc single piston caliper in the rear.
