Fort Lupton, Colorado -- Community Performances for the Holidays

Arsenic and Old Lace
The small community of Fort Lupton kicks off its winter season with performances in drama, music and choir. The first event starts on November the 21st as the Fort Lupton High School drama club presents Arsenic and Old Lace. This classic comedy has
something for everyone and should be fine for most kids over the age of eight years. Performances are scheduled for the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd of November. Admission costs are $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for students with student ID.
Winter Concerts
December 8th the Fort Lupton High School Concert Choir and Honors Choir will perform at the Brighton, Colorado Care Center. This is a free performance for the residents of the Care Center.
December 9th at 7pm
The Fort Lupton High School Choirs and the Concert Band and Strings Class will perform the first Winter Concert on December 9th at 7pm. Admission has traditionally been free, however, there is talk of implementing a small charge this year to help the band with new uniform purchases.
December 11th at 7pm
The Fort Lupton High School Choir and Concert Band will play for our enjoyment at 7pm on December 11th. Tickets have been free in the past, but there may be a small fee this year due to the need for new band uniforms.
December 13th Brighton Festival of Lights Parade
The Fort Lupton High School marching band will perform in the Brighton Festival of Lights on December 13th from 6pm to 9pm. Our band will be wearing black sweat suits with Christmas lights strung all over them. The band's theme this year is The Nightmare Before Christmas. Prepare yourself for this event by dressing warmly and bring money to buy hot chocolate, coffee, and snacks to help keep you warm. This is a free event to attend, but the vendors charge quite a bit for turkey legs and funnel cakes. Last year the City Hall building was the best place to be for this event as they had children's activities inside and out as well as the big Christmas tree which is lit with ceremony. If you bring small children, you may want to warm them up in the City Hall building.
