Terra cotta pots are the perfect material to create this unique Easter Bunny for your front yard. I hate seeing my terra cotta pots sit unused. This simple project is a great way to use your terra cotta pots all year round.

Even if you end up buying new terra cotta pots to make this simple Easter Bunny decoration you should not have to spend a lot of money. Check out local garden canters like Old Time Pottery and Garden Ridge for super affordable terra cotta pots.

To Make this Terra Cotta Easter Bunny Yard Art You Will Need:

5 Large Terre Cotta Pots

1 Terra Cotta Saucer

Epoxy Glue

Exterior Oil Based Paints (pink, purple, white, and black)

Start off by making sure your terra cotta pots are clean. They need to be clean for the paint to adhere to them.

You can simply clean them with a mixture of bleach and wait to remove any moss, mold or dirt.

Now, turn one terra cotta pot upside down. Run a bead of epoxy glue around the edge.

Place the next terra cotta pot right side up matching the base of this pot to the base with the epoxy glue.

Now, run a bead of epoxy glue around the lip of this terra cotta pot. Place the next terra cotta pot face down on it.

Run a bead of epoxy glue around the top edge and place the next pot right Side up on it.

Now, tape your final pot and run a bead of epoxy glue around the top edge. Turn it upside down and place it centered in the saucer.

Now, to create ears you need to break one terra cotta saucer in half. Try Scoring it down the center before you crack it. You could also use two garden spades, one as each ear.

Allow the epoxy glue to dry according the time recommended on the packaging.

Now, once the epoxy glue has dried you can paint your Easter Bunny Yard art,

I like to start by painting all the terra cotta pots in a nice bright white or purple exterior paint.

I like to paint it on with a foam brush.

Paint the terra cotta saucer Easter bunny's ears white or purple as well.

You can use the black exterior paint to paint some boots on the Easter Bunny terra cotta pots. You can also us the black paint to paint on a mouth and whiskers.
