Democrats Pledge to Try and Help Auto Industries Big Three
Just when you thought the Auto Industry of the Big Three were about to bite the dust, the leaders of the House and Senate Democratic party said that they were willing to give the Big Three another chance.
The leaders of the Democratic party has asked the Big Three to come back by December 2nd with a viable plan that would show accountability and viability. This was a bad week for the Big Three. Their top executives flew into Washington with their own Jets. This caused a lot of discussion
among all concerned. In two days of hearings, they made no progress in convincing the members of the House and Senate of their dire need for funds to stay afloat.
The Big Three are asking for 25 billion dollars in loans. If they can come up with a plan that shows accountability and viability, then both houses would meet the week of December the 8th to take up the request. Hearings would be held the week of December 2nd to determine if the plan is viable. No promises were made but, both Houses know that this is a very important issue. That is why they have decided to give the Big Three a second chance to come up with a working proposal. The Democratic leaders stated that they owed it to the taxpayer before any action was taken, to be sure that the plan would be best for all concerned.
