models, each one offering different levels of cardiovascular workouts.
On the second floor, members have access to the weight rooms for strength exercises. Free weights are typically used by the more experienced users, whereas the machines tend to attract the large majority of members who come one, two or generally three times a week, usually for an hour or two.

Both the free weights and the machines are arranged in a logical order, allowing a member to work their muscles in a sequential manner, either from the top of the body down or the bottom up.
There are more than enough machines to cater to a wide variety of exercises by a large mix of different types of members. The atmosphere is always friendly and men and women of varied skills work out together in harmony.

For those who need instructions on the proper use of the machines and exercises, or for those who just need motivation to work out, Bally has a full compliment of licensed personal trainers who can be hired on an hourly basis.

For those who prefer group exercises, there is variety here as well. Group activities range from step exercises, hip-hop dancing, yoga, Pillates, cardiovascular, weight loss, resistance and toning, all available in beginning, intermediate and advanced sessions.

After a strenuous workout, members can swim laps in the indoor pool, or during the summer months, in the outdoor pool on the roof. Lifeguards are always on duty.

When the weight training has caused sore muscles, a quick, relaxing dip in the 104 degree whirlpool will soothe them.

When quick weight loss is required, a sit in the sauna will sweat off the pounds.

I Joined ballys 2 yrs ago and only went there once! This place STINKS! The locker room is sub par and disgusting! I wouldn't step foot to take a shower after workout! I advice anyone who is looking to join Ballys to have a walkthrough first before you decide to sign any contract.

Milind!!!!! I totally agree with you. Bally's suck and suck ass. This dude doesn't even looks like he actually hits the gym. I'm on official Military Orders to ship out overseas. In the process of this my orders indicates certain schools I must attend before shipping out overseas. Bally's refuse to cancel my membership indicating that I'll be doing "training" before I deploy overseas. They stated that I will not be able to cancel until my actual deployment date. I will be attending these schools while on base and leaving the base is limited. They will not cancel my orders. The worst gym, customer service, satisfaction, and relations in the world. I do not and will never recommend Bally's. Guess what gym I wouldn't be attending if god spear life when I get back?

Guys, Ballys sucks. They only mislead all members. I am from Ballys San Jose. But a google on Bally Fitness reveals that nationwide people have had problems with them. Here is my story. I and my wife had joined Ballys. We were fooled into believing that ours was a month to month contract. The staff seemed very enthusiastic in our health and came up with these different schemes. in the end I paid for mine and my wife's membership for three years although I had canceled it after 1.5 years. After that, my wife went to school and came back. At that point we decided to again enroll into Ballys since that was the only gym in our neighborhood. This time, since we had experienced it once, we specifically asked that the contract say a month to month deal. However today when my wife wants to cancel that membership since we are moving, they are again insisting that we signed up for a 3 year membership and that we have to pay a 1000$ cancellation fee! I feel that they manipulate the papers and d
