A romantic weekend escape is often the perfect way to either revitalize a relationship or just keep it going strong. For the couple that calls Erie, PA their home, numerous places for such a weekend are only a short drive away. Here are a few options to consider if a weekend get-away is in the works.

Less than an hour away from the city of Erie, Peak N Peak Resort and Conference Center in Clymer, New York is a fantastic place for a romantic get-away. The Peak has all kinds of entertainment for any couple no matter the season. In the summer months the Peak has two beautiful golf courses for the hardcore enthusiasts, not to mention an outstanding mini-golf course for those more apt to putting a golf ball than driving it 300 yards. It also has an outdoor pool and hot tub. Throughout the winter the resort is famous for its numerous ski slopes. Twelve months out of the year the Peak has an indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna available. There are also several options when it comes to obtaining a suite, all depending on how much a person is willing to spend.

Quite possibly the highlight of any weekend at the Peak would have to be the Sunday champagne brunch. The brunch, set up buffet style, is held in the main lodge of the Peak every Sunday morning. Delicious does not even begin to describe how good the meal is. What is unique about brunch at the Peak is that every Sunday there is a different theme to the brunch. The themes can be found on the Peak's official website, so the weekend can be planned around the theme of the brunch if so desired.

Roughly a thirty minute drive from Erie is Findley Lake, also in the state of New York. What makes Findley Lake a special place for a romantic weekend is the variety of activities a couple can do together. There are numerous shops in the area that are just a walk away from any bed and breakfast surrounding the lake. The restaurants in the area are great, whether a couple is looking for a fancy romantic dinner or just a quick bite.
