Could it be that we haven't seen the last of the Lionheart known as Chris Jericho? There are indications that we could see the return of "Y2J" as a major attraction to Wrestlemania.

The first report was from Rajah.com that Vince McMahon has brought up the names of Mick Foley and Chris Jericho in recent discussions, but at least as far as Jericho goes (and perhaps Foley), nothing close to a deal has been negotiated for a special appearance at WrestleMania 23. That doesn't mean it won't happen, though.

Fan hopes were raised higher on Thursday as Jericho sent out a note to his fans from his from his MySpace page, www.myspace.com/therockofjericho. The note talked about thanking fans for their support and that "I'm been really busy working on a few big things so rest assured, you haven't seen the last of Jericho!" He also gives light to a book that he is working on and that his band, Fozzy, is also in pre-production of a new CD. He post scripts with an addition "Jerichomania is running wild", alluding toward a statement made by another legendary wrestler, Hulk Hogan.

The book will be called A Lion's Tale set to be released in October of this year. This book will take a look at Jericho's early years in the wrestling business. It will detail Jericho's career in five different countries.

Chris has been busy since leaving World Wrestling Entertainment after losing his final match to John Cena. He had his own radio show The Rock of Jericho on XM Channel 41, The Boneyard, weekly on Sunday nights. At one point the show was extended to two hours. The show ended its run last month. He also has toured with Fozzy and sang as part of Celebrity Duets this past summer. He has broken into acting as well, appearing in Android Apocalypse, a movie on the Sci Fi channel. This past summer, Jericho took to the theater in Toronto as part of the Norm Foster play, Opening Night.

Speculation on Jericho's website as to whom he could face at Wrestlemania 23 have gone from icon Hulk Hogan to a rematch with John Cena with minor thoughts of Carlito and Edge. Several members of his message board are clamoring for a strong return at the Royal Rumble to set up the Wrestlemania run.

Takeaways
  • If Jericho makes a return at Wrestlemania, the most likely opponents talked about are Hulk Hogan or John Cena.
  • His Rock of Jericho show on XM radio has been among the most popular shows of stars involved in music.
  • Chris Jericho now lives in Tampa with his family.
Did You Know?
Chris Jericho was the first man in WWE history to win its undisputed championship by beating Stone Cold Steve Austin and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the same night, December 9, 2001.

JERICHO IS THE ULTIMATE BEST - I DON'T CARE WHAT ANY ONE SAYS. HE DIDN'T COME BACK FOR WRESTLEMANIA, BUT IT'S RUMORED - AND POSSIBLY NEGOTIATED FOR A SEPTEMBER 2007 RETURN!!!! I'M BEYOND EXCITED!!!! BUT TNA ALSO HAS AN AVID INTEREST IN JERICHO SO.... WWE - JERICHO, THAT'S WHERE YOU BELONG HUNNY!! I'M LIKE THE BIGGEST JERICHO FAN EVER!!

wow, has it been that long since I've watched wrestling? I didn't even realize he wasn't on there any more. I don't have cable, so I rarely get to watch WWE these days unless I'm at my mom's house.

I agree with Lee, although it would be awesome to see Y2J back in wrestling.

I wouldn't put anything at all into Jericho's myspace comments. He's made the same kind of comments about TNA about thirty times now just to play with the internet fans but no sign of him so far.
