Gunning for Barack Obama

"Hate Group Map" May Explain Gun Sale Surge

The New York Times, the New York Daily News, Newsday, U.S.A Today, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, FOX News and a host of other news organizations recently reported that gun sales across the
country increased 10 percent after Barack Obama defeated John McCain. Many of the gun shop owners that were interviewed on camera stated they had never seen sales increase to this level in 15 to 20 years.

Those purchasing guns said they were doing so because of a growing fear that the spiraling economy will force desperate people to commit criminal acts. Others bought them because they believe an Obama Administration would move quickly to ban certain guns or attempt to limit their sales in United States. These are legitimate explanations that warrant serious investigation, but I believe there is one more valid explanation for the phenomenal surge that no one is bothering to discuss: the planned assassination of President Barack Obama.

Strangely, what the news agencies failed to report was that although many purchases involved commonly used handguns, the weapons that were being snatched off the shelves in record numbers were high-powered assault rifles, most notably the AR 15! On "The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric", one of the buyers looked right into the camera and said, "A man's got to protect his home and his property." Okay, here's my question. Who does this fool expect to break into his house? Bigfoot? I'm sorry, but that milk smells spoiled and I'm not buying it! Am I the only one that thinks there is something very, very wrong here?

Gary, as a non-gun owner that never even bought my children toy guns, and yet a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment, I have to tell you I am considering buying a gun based on fears that the right to own one may soon be taken from me. Rest assured that my thoughts never included harming our President Elect, nor do I hope for harm to him. Instead I hope my concerns about where his proposed policies will lead our country all turn out to be unfounded and he will do a wonderful job. Please do not equate all opposition to a man that happens to be black, with opposition because he is black. It just isn't the case. Having said that, I fear harming him is probably on the minds of some and I truly hope he is kept safe - for his sake, the sake of his family, and the sake of our country.

Scary times. I hope that this will not come to pass. In fact, I published an article (her on AC), calling for folks to pray for Obama, whether they voted for him or not. The President-elect needs our prayers. See: "Barack Obama - We Pray for You

You, sir, are a complete and utter idiot. Your hoplophobic, anti-gun agenda is plain for all who have two brain cells to rub together to see.

You know you don't need an AR 15 to shot long range; hunting rifles do the same job. The speed and velocity is in the ammo not the rifle. I know many gun owners who have bought "assault rifles" lately; they only fear a permanent ban which Obama has promised in the past. Why do people hate these type of guns so much? Criminals are not using them they use hand guns. .03% of gun violence is committed with a rifle the rest is done with a hand gun; there is no rational reason to ban ownership if these weapons.

Looking For Hate In All The Wrong Places The Southern Poverty Law Center may, at one time, have been a force dedicated to preserving the American Values of freedom and constitutional rights through American law, but they have strayed far afield of their initially stated goals. Today they are wildly flailing accusations at anyone who, in their estimation, is guilty of a "hate" crime And as their brush continues to broaden, they are busily applying sweeping strokes to the word "racism" and hungrily scanning the landscape for anyone who dares to oppose the actions of any non-white individual, group or nation. Whether the non-white individual has committed an act of criminal conduct appears to be irrelevant to the SPLC. The Southern Poverty Law Center was founded by Julian Bond and Morris Dees and is based in Montgomery Alabama. Since 1998, Bond has been chairman of the NAACP but remains active with the Center and serves on its board of Directors. Bond states that Americ
