Toy Review: Fun Connection with Kid K'nex
Kid K'nex is the next generation of kid's toys that puts your child's imagination to the test. Designed for children ages three years and older, the soft but sturdy colorful plastic pieces are connected together to create animals of the sea and playful pets to fun playground equipment to
cars that roll on the ground. Stick a few eyes upon them and their creations come to life as they build and play in an imaginary world.
Some of the great benefits I have found with Kid K'nex is that this toy really helps my children build fine motor skills. Once they discover how the pieces go together, that they can create unusual friends that more often than not end up looking like cute alien creatures from some science fiction story not yet written. Kid K'nex have soft colorful disk that connect together with longer sticks. These disks are complete circles to what can be described as pie shapes that can be used as feet or fins.
What I really like about Kid K'nex is that although a little more complex than standard building blocks is that they can actually create different things that are only limited by your child's imagination. Instead of building a stack as tall as they can, Kid K'nex actually encourages them to build different objects and as my kids usually called them, their friends. The instructions that come with each building kit are simple for a child to understand. Colorful pictures positioned to where your child can see where each piece connects to create a new creature and once they have mastered those basic pictures they begin to create creatures all of their own for instance a flower that has sprouted eyes or arms or a swing set that walks on stilts and has eyes.
