Tell you how much you mean to me
The joy the sadness the endless nights we share talking
Lonely feelings-thoughts of the end you wouldn't let be
Just being yourself...I wish I could......

Covert lives we both are livin'
Masking the pain
The hand that was given
Seems so brutal so cruel
I wish I could............
Run away from this body-- this pain-- this never ending suffering
I yearn for blue skies to rule

Wish I could borrow your wings of steal
Racing through the tides of pain
My affliction so real
It has taken away what was once me
How can we stay sane...
wish I could
Release you and I from this suffering

You found me there...surrounded in grief

You are a champion of your sorrows but yet you do not know
I see the conquest in your eyes...wish I could borrow
Until my eyes close at last tomorrow

Wish I Could

A strong support system can be a key factor in coping with a chronic illness such as Systemic Lupus.

this is very deep. i love the last line as it's a hopeful feeling that leaves extra thoughts of the future.
