What to Do in Tampa Bay

Tampa, Florida holds so many things to do that a short book would hardly do justice but here are some of my top picks for family entertainment and nightlife in Tampa.

Family Entertainment

The best places for family entertainment are Lowry Park Zoo, Busch Gardens and The Museum of Science and Industry.

Lowry Park Zoo is rated as one of the best family zoos in the United States and one visit will show you why. Lowry Park boasts amazing new exhibits that not only allow the visitors a more realistic view of how the animals live but allow the animals plenty of room to run and interact with other animals. The children's area is by far the best I have ever seen. Children can run and splash in the water, get close up to kangaroos, ride ponies and much more. A river boat tour is also offered to give visitors a look at Tampa's natural wildlife.

The Museum of Science and Industry is another wonderful place to bring bring the family. Sit in the hurricane simulator, walk through the butterfly garden, ride a bike in the air, watch an IMAX movie and visit the stars. This hands on museum also features incredible exhibits that change every few months such as Titanic and Space and currently the very controversial "Bodies" exhibit.

Last but definitely not least on the family tour is Busch Gardens with several roller coasters for all coaster rider levels from tame to down right terrifying, wonderful shows, an amazingly fun kids section (which I have more fun in than the kids at times I think), great food and of course the safari like atmosphere for their animals.

Nightlife

Get a babysitter and put the kids to bed Tampa's nightlife is definitely worth checking out. There is something for everyone and sometimes only walking distance from one club to the next.
