Historic Red Wing, Minnesota is a lovely destination this winter. Red Wing, Minnesota has lovely historic buildings to see. You can feel like you have gone back in time when you visit Red Wing, Minnesota. Red Wing, Minnesota is a short drive south of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. To get to Red Wing, Minnesota you can go by car train or boat. If you go to Red Wing, Minnesota you can see some scenes that were in the movie "Grumpy Old Men". Red Wing, Minnesota is along the mighty Mississippi. Red Wing, Minnesota is along the banks of the Mississippi river and you can see boats and barges going up and down the river. Red Wing Minnesota is surrounded by bluffs that follow the Mississippi river. You can follow a trail that leads to the top of a bluff that over looks the city of Red Wing, Minnesota. From the top of the bluff you can see practically the whole town and the river and railroad too. It is a hard uphill hike but the view is worth it.
Covill Park is in Red Wing, Minnesota and you can see Bald Eagles flying there. The Mississippi is home to the Bald Eagle and you can experience seeing them at Covill Park in Red, Wing Minnesota.
Near the banks of the Mississippi river you can find the old railroad depot in down town Red Wing, Minnesota. The old railroad depot is the visitor center of Red Wing, Minnesota and trains still come and go from the Red Wing train depot. The rail road runs along the tracks that are located along the Mississippi river. Red Wing, Minnesota has the Red Wing Pottery Mall. The Red Wing Pottery Mall is an old pottery factory that has been converted into a Mall. The building has a lot of history in it and the shopping there is good.
The Goodhue County Historical Society in Red Wing, Minnesota has displays of history from the area. You can see displays of what life was like in Red Wing long ago.
