Asian Themed Sim Ready in a Few Days

For SLReports.net

Real life passion drove John Menkes to build the asian sim, a real novelty in SL's estate market which TDJ's CEO naturally expects to generate income. Menkes claims he hasn't seen "many asian builds in SL" and so decided to move forward with this project. "It seems there might be a good
market for it", he stated. But this one isn't the only innovation TDJ is bringing to SL as John Menkes reveals some new projects.

Alessandra Narayan (AN) - What can you tell me about your asian sim?

John Menkes (JM) - Well, we are in the process right now of adding one of a kind homes. We joined up with a new builder who's specialized in asian builds, and it's a RL passion of mine.

AN - How was this project born?

JM - We came up with the idea after talking to many different people, their needs and also I haven't seen many asian builds in SL.

AN - Do you have many people interested?

JM - Yes. It does seem like there may be a good market for it. Besides, TDJ properties hasn't seen any decline in land sales, quite on the contrary. We see a need for them right now.

AN - What people are interested in that sim? Real asian people? Or people like you that have a passion for asian culture but aren't asian?

JM - People looking for something that no one in SL has and like the culture. People that are into the look and architecture.

AN - And what kind of architecture will it be? Modern asian or traditional asian?

JM - Traditional asian, styled after northern Japan.

AN - When will the asian sim be ready?

JM - Within a few days but we are currently taking pictures and placing ad boards in offices.

AN - What other projects you have in mind?

JM - We'll be working on a restaurant that is not in SL yet and a marina themed sim that will have a Cigar Yachts Polaris ship as the highlight, over 170 meters long with many features. About the restaurant I own many in RL and I look to bring some of those ideas to SL market, like for example the receipts on making different types of foods. If you offer something people can use, they'll go for it.
