"Insomniacs," a New Nightlife for New Port Richey

Recently an all night coffee house has opened up in the New Port Richey area. I have had the pleasure of spending a few leisurely nights at this place called "Insomniacs." The perfect name for its common customer. It's similar to a place my friends and I use to go to called "Insomnia" which was in Tampa. It closed a few years ago and I miss it so you can imagine my excitement when I heard about "Insomniacs."

I enjoy having an alternative to the normal nightlife in this area which is typically bar hopping. I'm guilty of doing that on many occasions. The great thing is you can still do that and have a place to go afterwards. It's located right next to a popular bar called "Bourbon street." How convenient! This is a place where you can go hang out and be social and not have to worry about what time you need to leave. It has a home-like feel to it with couches and chairs to occupy, a laptop set up with internet access, and even a big screen television. My friends had a great idea and brought along an Xbox.

I'd also like bring to attention the artwork display which is my favorite highlight of "Insomniacs." This a place where people can display artwork and even sell it if they choose. Not only does this make for great decor and adds the entertainment of viewing the artwork, but its great for local artists like myself. So far only one local artist has taken advantage of this opportunity but I have a feeling many more will follow. I plan on displaying my artwork soon. I have been looking for a place like this for that exact reason. I feel it brings culture to this area.

Also on another note, the staff is extremely laid-back and friendly. They're always social with their customers and seem to enjoy what they do. Oh I almost forgot they make great coffee. I have only tried a handful of what they have to offer but I have not been disappointed yet. I really hope this place is going to be around for a long time. They have even mentioned expanding and doubling the size of the coffee house to allow for even more accommodations. This is definitely a place worth checking out next time you are up at 2 am and don't have a clue where to go.
