The topic of your writing is perhaps a subject you debate with yourself for a while before coming to a conclusion. One of the major difficulties most authors have is finding a suitable topic that they would have the interest in writing. Many may have lots of ideas running through their head, but not sure what exactly to write it on. Here are some ideas I use to get me started:

Conversations:

I don't know about you, but I always find myself in interesting conversations with a large variety of topics. Why not write about something interesting you heard about today? You can search the web for additional information, and if you're on associated content or anywhere else, why not add some personal spice like the stories you heard, or your own personal opinion.

It's possible to write on almost any topic, and the best thing is you're almost guaranteed to get paid because different article directories and websites are seeking for the information you have. Even if not, why not save it up for later or post it on your blog, and website?

News and TV:

Did you watch something interesting on TV? The tv is a great source for ideas! While watching the TV, you must've picked up on some information you can then write in your own article! Any channel can be interpreted into another topic - just be creative! It doesn't have to be on the News or TV, online forums can be just as great! In fact, if you're reading someone's blog, why not interpret it to another article? While reading on someone else's thoughts and opinion, why not write your own opinion down for an editorial piece?

Pictures:

If you're looking for pictures for posts, why not do it the other way around? Find pictures that you might like to write a topic from, and go off from there!

Spontaneous:

First word that comes into mind write an article on it! It's as simple as that. You'll get fun, wacky ideas and articles that even your reader will have a good time reading! You can start off by thinking of your own moods, favourite colours, anything!

Takeaways
  • There are fun ways to get topic ideas. Why not think of the highlights of your day, and go from there?
Did You Know?
If you write continuously without stopping, you block the critical part of your brain, and in return, you'll get a fun, spontaneous, interesting article! Try it!
