Celebrity Scandals of 2008: The Top 5

Everybody has got to have a weakness for celebrity scandals. Sometimes, we just want an escape from our everyday mundane lives and instead, scrutinize the lives of the people who are in the news because they made the wrong choices. I actually symphatize for them, they are only human after all. Who doesn't make mistakes? But then again, their ridiculously spacious houses and enviable wardrobe got to compensate for something, right?

5. Shia Labeouf's DUI - Shia had a big 2008 thanks to Indiana Jones movie he starred in. But with good comes the bad, and he is no exception. He got into a car accident, with Transformers costar Isabel Lucas, which left his hand and knee injured. Unfortunately, he was also intoxicated at the time and was cited with a DUI. I really hope he doesn't continue on the bad downhill route. He is such a promising young star with a bright career ahead of him.

4. Sienna Miller with a married man - It sounds like a cliche. A married rich oil heir having an affair with a young pretty actress. Miller was photographed topless with Balthazar Getty in a boat and later on in a balcony, showing their affection to each other, some say in a distasteful manner. Miller was criticized everywhere, as the pictures show her flaunting her relationship with the married man and a father of four. Getty's wife, who has been separated with her husband for awhile now, later stated that she was humiliated with her husband's affair with Miller. Well, if you're in her position, you have every right to be.

3. Madonna and Guy Ritchie divorce - Their marriage was on the rocks for some time and have been speculated endlessly until they made it official on October this year that they were getting a divorce. I don't think anyone was shocked. They were married for eight years. It is reported that the split had something to do with baseball player Alex Rodriguez, and his late-night visits to Madonna's apartment. They haven't made their relationship public yet so we'll see what happens in the next chapter of Madge's life.
