My Opinion on the Top Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movies of 2008
Hello, today I will be reviewing my picks for the five best science fiction fantasy movies of 2008. I will start with number 5 and go through to number 1. I will include things such as top actor/actress list, brief synopsis, list my favorite parts and give a5. Hellboy 2 The Golden Army:Genre: Action/ Fantasy/ Sci-Fi/ Comedy MPAA rating: PG-13 for sci-fi violence and language Run Time: 120 minutes
Brief Synopsis: In the second outing for Hellboy (played perfectly by Ron Perlman), an ancient truce between mankind and the hidden magical realm of elves is broken by the Elvin Prince Nuada (played by Luke Goss) who is angry that humans were given the over world to rule while magical creatures live in the shadows. Prince Nuada's aim is to awaken the titular Golden Army (an army of giant indestructible robots) so that he can retake the world from humans and their destructive ways. Hellboy and his crew, including Liz Sherman the pyrokinetic (played very well by Selma Blair) and Abe Sapien (played by Doug Jones) and new addition Johann Krauss (played by James Dodd and voiced by Seth McFarlane) must stop the Prince before he can activate the army and destroy humanity.
Science fiction's a fluid genre that changes with the course of time. It's a literary voice that evolves with a generation, the genre borne out of wonderment, out of curiosity, to satisfy the age-old question of "What if?"
