Three Weekend Escapes Near Raleigh, NC

One of the worst kept secrets is the Seinna Hotel in Chapel Hill, NC. This hotel in the vicinity of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill is located along a busy thoroughfare. From the outside the building is a nice looking building that doesn't seem all that special.

Go inside and you have just entered a very European hotel; a really classy European hotel. The staff is everywhere to keep you in comfort. The dining room is excellent in all ways. The food is superb. Everything at this hotel pampers you.

From inside the hotel the outside world quickly disappears. It is the kind of a place that makes you forget where it is located. It is a superb way to escape the "real" world for a weekend. It does require that you have some resources to take this little junket as the prices match the quality. If you need to get out while visiting the hotel, the other end of Franklin Street has a plethora of fine restaurants and bars. Most of the year there are plays and sports events going on either in Chapel Hill or in the nearby cities of Durham and Raleigh.

If it you are interested in more of a shopping break, the Embassy Suites Crabtree may be the place for you. Here you are located across the street from the Crabtree Mall with its large selection of fine restaurants. The Cheesecake Factory is a favorite of those who have no concern for the diet constraints. Then if the pressure of dieting is the reason you need escape time, the factory could be part of that escape.

From the Embassy Suites many fine attractions are within a few minutes drive. The famous North Carolina Art Museum is just down Blue Ridge Road. The Hurricanes NHL team plays at the RBC Center just a bit further away. Downtown Raleigh with its plethora of museums, auditoriums and restaurants is just down the other end of Glenwood Avenue which passes in from of the hotel.
